Partner track within the firm Job Details Technical Skills and Experiences: Demonstrated accomplishments in Completing and Reviewing Business and Personal Tax returns --- Generalist Practitioner needed versus Industry or Tax Structure Specialist Skilled Consulting and Advisory professional with a history of Managing client relationships and a book of business --- with complementary ability to grow a book of business preferred Advanced Excel Software skills Tax Software Skills --- CCH Access preferred Skilled Tax Manager and Mentor, Coach Skilled Tax Process and Compliance professional Excellent Verbal and Written communication and presentation skills Skilled Tax Research skills preferred 5-10 years Public Accounting experience with progressively responsible roles including 1-3 years success Managing client relationships and 1-3 years success as a Manager and Coach/Mentor Certified Public Accountant Bachelor---s degree in Accounting preferred --- or non-degreed will be considered dependent on experience and skill levels What will be the responsibilities and priorities for Tax Manager hire? In addition to preparing, reviewing the returns, managing a book of business/workflow, and growing the book, this new hire will help, mentor, and guide staff. This leadership/management of staff is a critical need. How will performance be measured? Number of Returns? Billable hours, etc? Client service standards. All individual performance reviews are based on the categories within these standards --- both quantitative and qualitative. The approx. Tax Manager Billable Hour expectation is 1,400 ---billable hours are not the main focus if the work is solid. Billable hours are tracked for use in capacity planning. Generally, the Tax Managers work about 55-60 hours weekly during the busy season. On both sides of deadlines, this can be 65. Managers are expected to adjust as needed.
