Job Description:

Title: Senior AccountantSalary: $70,000 - $90,000Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week work from homVaco is working with an outstanding client in the Decatur/Hartselle area to find their next Senior Accountant. This position is eligible for Hybrid work, while being in-office three days/week.Responsibilities -

• Assist in managing overall accounting process
• Maintain current accounting systems; make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and deploy policies and procedures related to document accounting issues and improve close and reporting process accuracy
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Implement and adhere to internal control processes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
• Additional duties as assgined, including partnering with leadership for special projectsMinimum Requirements -
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in accounting Preferred Requirements -
    • MBA/Masters of Accountancy
    • CPA
    • Experience in manufacturing environment
