Service Aluminum Corporation located in Florence, AL and founded in 1987 is one of the largest scrap aluminum brokers in the United States, a major supplier to the domestic scrap industry, and a major purchaser of scrap aluminum from dealers and manufacturers offers an excellent opportunity to join their fast-paced environment as a Scrap Metal Trader.This position plays a key role in the daily trading activity of the business with significant impact to the overall performance of the company. The Trader will support the buying and selling activities of the group by maintaining and expanding existing supply bases as well as identifying new business opportunities.Company Description:Primary Responsibilities:-- Responsible for the purchasing and selling of non-ferrous scrap metals & RSI-- Visit and maintain current and potential suppliers to generate new sources of material-- Assist in developing strategic plans for new business to generate new sources of raw material-- Collaborate with local operations, freight partners, and head office to coordinate, and manage transportation-- Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including closed sales and follow-up activities.-- Develop knowledge of aluminum markets and the various tools necessary to compete (terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, etc.)-- Participate in industry associationsQualifications-- Strong written and verbal communication-- Must be self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks-- Excellent negotiations skillsPI61f57bc1f4cf-25660-34529973
