Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This position
offers an opportunity to work as a School Psychologist or School
Psychometrist in a K-12 school located in Birmingham, AL. The role
is a contract position for the current school year with
approximately 30 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Conduct
psychological evaluations and screenings for students suspected of
having disabilities. Administer a variety of psychological and
neuropsychological tests following established protocols. Compile
detailed reports based on evaluations to support students official
school records. Collaborate with teachers, families, and
multi-disciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans
(IEPs). Interview students and observe them in their typical
educational settings to assess social, emotional, and behavioral
functioning. Assist in research efforts by collecting and analyzing
psychometric data. Support school personnel with assessments to
determine eligibility for special education services or to provide
data for IEP teams. Monitor testing processes carefully, ensuring
validity and adherence to timelines, and notify supervisors of any
issues. Qualifications: Experience conducting psychological
assessments in educational settings. Knowledge of special education
laws and IEP development processes. Ability to work effectively
with students, families, and school staff. Strong observational and
data compilation skills. Detail-oriented approach with the ability
to manage testing timelines and protocols. Relevant credentials or
licensure as a School Psychologist or experience as a
Psychometrist. Location: Birmingham, Alabama (K-12 school setting)
