Interpreter Training Program (ITP), active Registry of Interpreters
for the Deaf (RID) certification, and 1 years Interpreter
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is
for a full-time Braillist position supporting K-12 students in the
Franklin, TN area. The role is focused on assisting elementary-age
students within the school district by providing essential tactile
instructional materials and interpreting services to support their
learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and produce tactile
learning materials, including braille and other tactile aids,
tailored to the educational curriculum Collaborate with teachers
and specialists to ensure materials meet student needs and
accessibility standards Provide interpretation services as needed
to facilitate communication and classroom participation Manage
caseload effectively, ensuring timely delivery of materials for
individual students Remain knowledgeable about braille standards
and tactile resources applicable to K-12 education Qualifications
and Experience: Proven experience as a Braillist with proficiency
in producing braille and tactile teaching tools Familiarity with
interpreting services in school settings preferred Experience
working with elementary-aged students is highly desirable Knowledge
of accessibility requirements and specialized education materials
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage
multiple projects and deadlines Location and Schedule: On-site
position in the Franklin, TN area Full-time hours Contract duration
from assignment start to May 21, 2026 This opportunity offers the
