1st shift, Monday-Friday! No weekends! Position Summary This
position is responsible for repairs and required maintenance of
trucks. The role inspects, troubleshoots, diagnoses and performs
maintenance on equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:The Diesel
Truck Mechanic repairs and replace defective parts, components or
systems.Perform safety inspections on all equipment and prepare
safety documents required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration (FMCSA), Company and any other federal, state and
local regulations.The Diesel Truck Mechanic interprets work orders
and technical manuals.Test repaired equipment for proper
performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer's specifications
and legislated regulations.The Diesel Truck Mechanic repairs
emergency breakdowns. Prioritize work and follow through with
repairs.The Diesel Truck Mechanic performs other duties as
required.The Diesel Truck Mechanic reports directly to the Shop
Supervisor. Requirements: Education and Experience:High School
Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or a combination of
education and experience Must have a minimum of one year experience
and/or completion of a trade school; or equivalent combination of
education and experienceMust be 18 years of age or olderRequired to
pass a DOT physical and drug screen.Must have own tools Essential
Qualifications: Required to use hand tools and test
equipmentDemonstrate knowledge of general repairs and PM
criteriaSelf-starter Must show confidence in repair work and take
responsibility for the completed workDemonstrate specific knowledge
of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including
diesel engine system diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating
appropriatelyAbility to keep up with technology and updatesAbility
to read and comprehend technical manualsDemonstrate proficiency to
write out repair ordersPossess verbal and written communication
skills and strong listening skills Language SkillsMust read, write

susceptible to climate such as outdoor weather. Frequent exposure
to loud machinery, air tool operation, hammering and engine
