Responsibilities Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive vehicles including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Qualifications 2 years of Service Technician experience required. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies. Ability to learn modern technology, repair and service procedures and specifications. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a clean/acceptable driving record. Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check & drug screening. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Physical Requirements Heavy Work – Frequently exerting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking constantly. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift items up to 75 pounds. Environment – Requires frequent exposure to heat, cold, noise, and both inside and outside conditions. Must be able to read, write and have repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, stretch, etc. Must be able to see small objects in low light. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
