Job Description:
Koch Foods, a leading poultry processor in the U.S., is seeking
a skilled Manufacturing Refrigeration Technician to join our
engineering and maintenance team. This role is crucial in
maintaining and optimizing the refrigeration systems across our
various facilities, ensuring the preservation and quality of our
fresh and frozen poultry products. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of
refrigeration units, employing a deep knowledge of thermodynamics
and refrigeration systems. This position plays a vital role in our
commitment to delivering top-quality products by ensuring all
refrigeration equipment operates efficiently and complies with all
safety and environmental regulations. Regular inspection and
maintenance of refrigeration units to ensure optimal operation.
Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment, resolving issues
promptly. Monitor and adjust the equipment settings based on
production needs and energy use. Comply with safety, health, and
environmental policies and procedures. Maintain records of
inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Collaborate with the
engineering team to implement new refrigeration technologies or
upgrades. Provide training and support to junior technicians.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and
thermodynamics. Experience with industrial refrigeration systems
and controls. Ability to work in cold environments and handle
physical demands of the job. Excellent problem-solving skills and
attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
