Job Description:
Role Overview We are seeking a mid-career Industrial Engineer to
support and evolve production operations in Cortland, Alabama. This
role applies Industrial Engineering principles, modern analytics
tools, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce waste, improve
efficiencies, and guide manufacturing decisions for complex space
systems. Key Duties / Responsibilities • Apply advanced Industrial
Engineering principles to evaluate and optimize production
processes. • Partner with facilities engineering to plan new
production lines and factory layouts. • Support Manufacturing
Engineers with standards development and performance analysis. •
Build discrete-event simulations to analyze future production
strategies, identify constraints, and optimize workflows. • Analyze
data systems to identify issues and drive continuous improvement
solutions. • Develop tools and solutions that support scheduling,
cost optimization, and production performance. • Lead and sustain
process improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes. • Mentor
less experienced Industrial Engineers. • Collaborate with
production operations to understand manufacturing processes and
provide data-driven recommendations. • Support occasional off-shift
or weekend work to maintain production schedules. • Work
cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Program
Management across the product lifecycle. Work Environment This
position operates in a high-paced, digitally enabled production
environment. You will work with PLM, MRP, MES, analytics platforms,
simulation software, and other tools that support modern
manufacturing. Occasional off-shift or weekend work may be required
to support critical production needs. Collaboration with
engineering, operations, and program stakeholders is a core

requirements below to be considered. • Industrial Engineering
experience in a production or manufacturing environment. • Project
management experience. • Experience developing, monitoring, or
reporting cost and schedule performance metrics. • Experience
creating production schedules, forecasts, or resource-loaded
staffing plans. • Experience with discrete-event simulation of
production processes. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret
security clearance. Nice-to-have skills that strengthen a
candidate’s application but are not required. • Bachelor’s degree
in Industrial Engineering or a related field (or equivalent
experience). • Experience launching or scaling new production lines
or factories. • Leadership experience, including team guidance or
conflict resolution. • Experience with tools such as SAP, Apriso,
VECAMS, Tableau, Simio, or similar systems. • Experience developing
and executing production ramp-up plans. • Strong verbal and written
communication skills. • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage
multiple assignments. • Experience in production operations or new
program introductions. • Ability to develop and deliver
presentations to senior leadership. • Active Secret security

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented
full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid

time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up
to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for
holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated
based on start date during the calendar year. This position is
incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $109,200 - $189,290. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
