General Purpose of the Job Directs and coordinates activities in ERP, materials distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery, freight negotiations and supplies in organization by performing the following duties personally or through others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepares instructions regarding Material systems and procedures. ERP system updates and maintenance. Manage Senior MRO Buyer and review all projects for cost savings and capital purchases. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability. Negotiates best price for all materials purchased. Manage daily shipping activities and support C/S on an as needed basis. Manage press scheduling and steel purchases. Manage inventory and review accuracy. Works in conjunction with production and quality to ensure materials required are available. Provides senior management with department reporting as required. Complies with health and safety rules of the company. Maintains high level of housekeeping. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises materials department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Associates degree or equivalent form two year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
