Job Description:

TriHealth is actively recruiting for a Nurse Case Manager who is a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama with a minimum of 1 year of case management experience.
This position provides case management of disability and workers' compensation cases. Services will be performed in conjuction with the customer location in Decatur, Alabama.

*PARTIAL REMOTE WORK ENVIRONMENT - WORK FROM HOME (WFH) WITH ONSITE SCHEDULING BASED ON CLIENT NEEDS. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WORKWEEK - NO WEEKENDS NO HOLIDAYS*

Key Responsibilities:
Serves as liaison between injured/disabled workers, medical providers, claims examiners and employer designees for coordination of care needs and return to work planning consistent with provider recommendations and employer policies
Monitors case treatment plans, benchmark guidelines, outcomes, and barriers, and make recommendations to facilitate case management goals to minimize lost work time
Proactively manages all assigned cases to assess progress/response to treatment, prevent lapses or delays in treatment, obtain regular updates on work status and facilitates a return to work plan for injured/disabled workers
Understands and able to communicate a basic overview of Alabama Workers' Compensation processes and basic OSHA regulations as it pertains to the recordkeeping needs of the employer
Understands and able to communicate overview of disability benefits plans, employer-offered health and wellness resources and potential community resources
Communicates with employer designees to provide information needed for absence time tracking
Other duties as necessary

To be qualified for this position, you must meet these minimum requirements :
Education / Credentials:
Associate Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse with valid Alabama licensure
Experience:
Minimum 1 year occupational health case management experience
Strong clinical background in occupational health setting may be acceptable in lieu of case management experience
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of Alabama Workers' Compensation processes, short/long-term disability leaves, FMLA, ADAAA and ODG guidelines
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills across varying professional levels (patients/employees, physicians, clinical team, company contacts, senior leadership)
Strong computer skills -working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), ability to effectively toggle between multiple systems/programs to obtain information
Well organized with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
Self-starter, able to work independently as well as with others

Provide occupational health services for clients
Managing and coordinating occupational health services
Assess and identify occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
Manage a cost effective occupational health program
Perform case management for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses./li
Keep current as relate to occupational health
Provide preliminary care and management of occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
Provide case management of occupational injuries and illnesses
Provide emergency treatment of both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
Maintain employee occupational health records within electronic documentation
Perform safety and occupational health safety analysis and observations
Conduct health screening and surveillance activities including occupational and environmental health histories and health assessments
Maintain and orders supplies for occupational health department
Analyze occupational health metrics and recommend process improvements
Perform all other occupational health initiatives as determined to be a part of the occupational health and safety programs for employers
Lead annual employee health evaluations and participate in employee wellness and occupational safety programs
Expect a mix of occupational health and urgent care duties
Identify occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
Provide employee counseling and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as other health-related matters
