Registered Nurse (RN), Cath Lab Job Type: RN Medsurg, Days 4x10s
(6:00am-4:30pm) On call Required- Must live no more than 30 minutes
from the hospital. Where We Are: Florence, Alabama is situated in
Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the
scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating
on Wilson Lake. Come tour the historical sites, visit Key Cave
National Wildlife Refuge, or take a relaxing lake cruise on Wheeler

Summary North Alabama Medical Center features four Cardiac
Catheterization Labs with one room dedicated to electrophysiology
studies. The cath lab provides services for 13 cardiologists, two
vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist. Our cardiac
cath lab is a specialized unit that is designed to diagnose and
treat cardiovascular disease. Cath labs perform dye test on
patients' hearts and other vessels in the body. When interventions
are needed, blockages are treated with balloons and stents. Cath
labs are well known for placing stents in a heart during a heart
attack. NAMC features the only interventional cath lab within 75
miles of Florence capable of treating heart attack patients. Your

requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license.
Additional requirements include: Basic Life Support certification
is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS are required
within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred What
you will do Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment
that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of
medical/healthcare errors. Ability to formulate an individualized
plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to
treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as
appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following
chain of command as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across
disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer,
discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides
patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,
and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and
emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.
