RN Surgical Where We Are: Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. Our surgical team consists of specially trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, certified nurse anesthetists and other highly trained professionals. How you'll contribute You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current state LPN license. Additional requirements include: - Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. - One year of experience preferred - BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer; ACLS within 90 days of hire/transfer What you will do - Performs duties as assigned and requested. - Completes a focused patient assessment with reassessments - Based on patients' condition, procedures, medications given and treatments. - Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. - Performs patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs. - Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patient's clinical condition. Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors. - Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills. - Performs treatments and provides services to the level of licensure. - Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes - Patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors. - Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. - Educates patient and family on disease process.
