Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift
position in a Level II Trauma Center, requiring an active IL RN
license and proficiency with Cerner. \n \n Responsibilities\n Work
in the Medical Surgical unit of an acute care hospital Night shifts
available: 3x12 or 4x12 (18:00–6:30) Patient census averages 35 per
shift Level II Trauma Center with 372 staffed beds Utilizes Cerner
for charting; Cerner experience required Floating required within
the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals Every other weekend
is required; no on-call responsibilities Accepts local candidates
with no radius restriction Duties include comprehensive care for
diverse Med/Surg patients, involvement with rapid response teams,
and management of cardiac, GI, GU/renal, respiratory and wound care
cases Team structure includes interdisciplinary collaboration in a
busy, high-acuity unit Blue, black, or gray scrubs required Must be
able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Must not exceed 5 days of
non-holiday requested time off without facility approval Free
parking available with permit upon orientation First-time travelers
are not eligible for this assignment \n \n Requirements\n Active IL
RN license required at the time of consideration or evidence of
application in process Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN
experience required BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross
accepted; RQI not accepted) Proficiency with remote telemetry,
rapid response teams, and emergency response Experience with
colostomy care, feeding tube management, pre/post hemodialysis,
renal failure, IV therapy, phlebotomy, central/PICC line
management, and blood product administration Competence in Heparin,
Insulin, and PCA medication administration Skilled in respiratory
interventions: CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy management, and
portable oxygen equipment Knowledge in wound care, isolation
precautions, and wound vac use Cerner charting experience required
Permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before
