Job Description Job Description Charge Operating Room RN - Center for Performance Medicine Overview: The Charge Operating Room RN at our Center for Performance Medicine is responsible for leading and coordinating patient care and operational activities within a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility. Key duties include evaluating and managing patient care, streamlining workflows, assisting with staff onboarding, and ensuring that operating rooms and equipment are fully prepared. This role requires a licensed RN with experience in the operating room, excellent teamwork and advocacy skills, and offers a comprehensive benefits package without weekend or holiday shifts. Discover Your Purpose with Us! Position Overview This role collaborates closely with the Clinical Supervisor for the service. The primary responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The Charge RN will coordinate patient care alongside various departments and manage service delivery in the designated specialty area. Efficiently organizing workflows, including room setup and turnover, as well as ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment before procedures, is essential. The RN may also step into staff roles as needed, providing coverage during breaks and lunches, and assisting with operational support tasks. Additionally, the Charge RN will help orient new team members in partnership with the Supervisor and the OR Nurse Clinician. With 10 operating rooms, 2 minor procedure rooms, and 1 cystoscopy suite, it stands as one of the largest surgical centers in the nation, equipped with the latest technology. Our surgical specialties encompass orthopedics, urology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and general surgery. The facility also features a dedicated pre/post-operative area, PACU, a 23-hour stay area, SPD, and supply chain management. Our caregivers enjoy the benefit of no weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts.
