registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. This registered nurse role focuses on stepdown care,
providing skilled nursing to patients with cardiac-related
conditions such as coronary artery disease, CABG, and dysrhythmias.
The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic cardiac
unit where advanced procedures like cardiac catheterization,
open-heart surgery, ablation, and ICD management are supported.
Nurses will be responsible for monitoring patients closely,
administering treatment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary
teams in a 42-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown
cardiac patients Monitor patient conditions and interpret cardiac
rhythms Assist with cardiac procedures including cath lab support
and post-operative care Utilize Epic electronic health records for
accurate charting and documentation Collaborate with physicians and
other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Adhere
to hospital protocols and safety standards, including BLS, ACLS,
and NIHSS certifications Float to supporting areas such as Cardiac
Short Stay and Chest Pain Observation Unit as needed
Qualifications/Desired Experience: Valid RN license with experience
in stepdown or cardiac nursing Certification in BLS, ACLS, and
NIHSS required Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
system Comfort working with critical cardiac cases and specialized
procedures Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with a
schedule of 36 to 48 hours per week, including every other weekend
