TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Nashville, TN, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Laboratory Director to lead our medical laboratory operations. This position will oversee the management and strategic direction of the laboratory services, ensuring the highest standards of laboratory practices and aligning with our commitment to provide high-quality, compassionate care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in laboratory management within a healthcare setting, demonstrating expertise in both technical and administrative aspects of laboratory operations. Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Manage laboratory staff and oversee continuing education and training. Monitor and continuously improve laboratory efficiency and accuracy. Liaise with hospital management and departments to integrate laboratory services. Prepare and manage the laboratory budget. Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies. Strong leadership and organizational skills Expertise in clinical laboratory techniques Proficiency in laboratory information systems Ability to manage budgets and prepare financial forecasts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the ASCP or similar Certification in laboratory management or leadership preferred
