Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a premier healthcare facility
in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Extern on a
PRN (as-needed) basis to join our team. This position offers a
unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various medical
settings including emergency care, cardiology, and oncology among
others. As a Nurse Extern PRN, you will work directly under the
supervision of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals,
providing support and care to patients while expanding your
practical knowledge and skills in a real-world medical environment.
Assist registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in
delivering direct patient care in a hospital setting. Perform basic
nursing duties such as monitoring vital signs, administering
medication, and documenting patient status. Prepare and maintain
patient rooms and workspaces. Support the healthcare team in the
implementation of patient care plans. Engage in educational
activities to enhance knowledge and skills. Ensure compliance with
hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations.
Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow
instructions and work as part of a team. Aptitude for multi-tasking
and effectively handling stressful situations. Compassionate and
patient-focused approach. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification preferred.
