This position requires a compassionate professional who can deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. As an Acute Care Nurse PRN, you will work within our diverse healthcare teams to support various departments such as emergency care, cardiology, and oncology, providing critical care when needed on a per diem basis. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. Assess patients' condition and chart their observations efficiently. Administer medications as prescribed by the attending physician and monitor for adverse reactions. Operate medical equipment and assist with procedures. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and health maintenance. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Advanced knowledge of emergency care, cardiology, oncology, or related fields. Proficiency in using medical equipment relevant to acute care settings. Strong clinical skills with the ability to react decisively in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to educate patients and their families on health-related issues. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
