Job Description:
TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, located in Smyrna, TN, is
seeking a dedicated Radiation Oncology Nurse PRN to join our
compassionate and professional team. As a critical part of our
healthcare services, the Radiation Oncology Nurse will work in our
state-of-the-art oncology department, providing top-tier care to
patients undergoing radiation therapy. This position offers the
opportunity to work alongside leading oncologists and medical
professionals in a supportive and technologically advanced
environment. Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed
by oncologists Monitor patient's condition and assess their needs
to provide the best possible care and advice Observe and manage the
side effects of radiation therapy Educate patients and their
families on treatment expectations, process, and side effects
Maintain detailed records of treatment plans and patient progress
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare
professionals to optimize patient outcomes Participate in
multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan patient care
Strong clinical skills related to radiation oncology nursing
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detailed knowledge
of radiation therapy procedures and safety measures Ability to
operate and maintain oncology-related medical equipment Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee Basic Life Support
(BLS) certified Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
