Job Description:

TriStar Centennial Medical Center seeks a dedicated Medical Surgical Nurse to join our dynamic team in providing top-tier medical care in a variety of surgical specialties. As an integral component of our healthcare team, the Medical Surgical Nurse will work in a bustling environment, handling preoperative, operative, and postoperative patient care. This role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple patient cases, and a passion for delivering quality patient-centered care. Administer medications, and monitor patient recovery and vital signs. Prepare patients for surgery and assist in surgical operations under the guidance of surgeons and anesthesiologists. Record patients’ medical histories and monitor symptoms and progress. Perform wound care and provide instructions on self-care post-surgery. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on surgical processes and postoperative care. Handle patient case management and follow-up assessments. Strong nursing and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and medical software Experience in patient assessments and wound care Knowledge of surgical operations and medical terminology Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
