Job Description Morris Hospital, located in Morris, Illinois,
has an employment opportunity for a 0.8 FTE (nearly full-time)
Board-Certified Pathologist. There is an opportunity for a
qualified candidate to be mentored to be our full-time Medical
Director in the future. Our Pathologists provide all pathology
services for the Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery, 28 healthcare
centers, and long-term care facilities. Benefits Include : Market

collegial and career-building opportunity from day one that
provides a broad practice, a variety of cases, and an amicable work
environment with two other Pathologists. Approximately 90% of the
work focuses on Anatomic Pathology and cytology, including grossing
of surgical specimens, frozen sections, gynecologic and
non-gynecologic cytology. Pathologists also provide adequacy for
fine needle aspiration. Pathologists provide consultation in the
clinical laboratory. The clinical laboratory departments include
chemistry, special chemistry, serology, immunology, histology,
hematology, coagulation, transfusion medicine, and a full
microbiology department, including susceptibility testing. The
Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists
(CAP) and operates as a Core Lab, where approximately 1.5 million
