at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville
seeks to add a full-time Glaucoma Specialist to join our dynamic
ophthalmology team as a non-tenure Clinical Assistant Professor.
The ideal candidate will provide expert medical and surgical
management of glaucoma while also contributing to comprehensive
ophthalmic care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a
collaborative patient-centered environment with access to advanced
technology and a varied patient population. Major responsibilities
include providing excellence in patient care, teaching and, if
desired, clinical research, contributing to a varied academic eye
practice. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a
wide spectrum of glaucoma conditions Perform glaucoma surgeries
including MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery),
trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and laser procedures (SLT, YAG Pl,
etc.) Provide routine and advanced anterior segment care, including
cataract surgery, as appropriate Collaborate with optometrists and
other ophthalmic subspecialists for integrated patient care
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records Educate
patients and families about glaucoma, treatment options, and
preventive care Participate in teaching ophthalmology residents and
medical students Participate in clinical research as desired.
Required Qualifications: M.D. (or equivalent degree) or D.O. degree
from an accredited medical school Ophthalmology residency
Fellowship training in Glaucoma US Board certified or board
eligible in Ophthalmology Eligible for medical licensure in Florida
