for a skilled registered nurse with operating room expertise to
support neuro and spine surgical patients. This contract position
offers a structured day shift schedule in a modern surgical
department specializing in advanced OR procedures. Location: This
role is based near Pelham, Alabama, at a leading medical center
known for comprehensive surgical services and a 24-bed unit that
emphasizes one-to-one patient care ratios. The facility uses Cerner
electronic medical records and is equipped with state-of-the-art
operating room technology to support various specialty surgeries.
Key Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care focused
primarily on neuro and spine procedures Collaborate closely with
surgical teams to maintain patient safety and optimize outcomes
Adhere to strict dress code policies requiring scrub colors in ceil
blue or royal blue, with professional grooming standards
Participate in a fair on-call rotation coordinated by the
scheduling team Maintain required certifications such as BLS and
comply with hospital policies regarding patient care and
documentation Qualifications and Experience: Active RN license and
a minimum of 2 years operating room nursing experience Strong
skills in neuro/spine surgical nursing Preferred experience in
vascular, robotic (Da Vinci), orthopedic, and maxillofacial
surgeries is advantageous Comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:1
and working in a unit with 24 beds Ability to work day shifts from
6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with 36 guaranteed weekly hours This contract
