(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A surgical nursing
opportunity is available focusing on Neuro/Spine cases within a
well-equipped Operating Room setting. This contract position is
based in Alabaster, AL, offering a day shift schedule with
guaranteed weekly hours and the opportunity to work with a
specialized team in a 24-bed surgical unit. Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to Neuro/Spine surgical patients
in the OR. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure
patient safety and positive outcomes. Utilize Cerner EMR system for
accurate documentation. Maintain compliance with facility dress
code and infection control policies. Participate in on-call
rotations as scheduled, supporting weekend coverage.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years
experience in Neuro/Spine surgical nursing. Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification required. Experience with vascular,
robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci), orthopedic, and maxillofacial
procedures preferred. Proficiency in perioperative nursing and use
of surgical equipment. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule: Day shift, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM 36 guaranteed hours per week
On-call weekend hours distributed by the coordinator Location
