to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Smyrna, Tennessee, 37167!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and
Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NRP, Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Drive to provide the highest
quality of care to laboring patients. Ability to support patient
choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient
preference. Description: Number of Beds: 9 Labor and Delivery, 3
swing rooms, 2 ORs and 3 bed OBED. Patient Ratios: 1-2. Unit
staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Dedicated
CRNA and midwife in-house 24/7. OBGYN on call. Documentation system
includes CPN and Meditech. Scheduling requirements involve 4
weekend shifts per month. Floating policy may include floating to
maternal/infant or outside department to task. Patient Experience
requirements are to remain above 75%. Advanced skills needed
include: Spinning babies helpful. STABLE also helpful. Procedures
performed on unit include: Circulating in OR. IUPC. FSE. Magnesium
sulfate. Postpartum hemorrhage management. Nitrous oxide usage.
Dress Code: Hot pink and black. Preference for hot pink on top and
black on bottom. Unit Guidelines and Policies should be attached
for reference. Awards and Recognition include: Unit of Distinction
2021. Pilot hospital for specific initiatives. Additional
information to entice candidates: Laborist team model with 24/7
midwives. Dedicated CRNA and OB on call. Personalized birth
experience tailored to patients' desires and needs. Couplet care in
postpartum units allowing newborns to remain at bedside to promote
breastfeeding. Donor milk availability when needed. 8 bed Level 2
NICU with NNP dedicated to the unit 24/7. NNP available to attend
