Job Description:
The Role at a glance: We are looking to add an experienced,
motivated Food Production Manager to our Trio Community Meals team
in Birmingham, AL. As a Food Production Manager, you will have the
opportunity to lead a high-volume food production operation and
ensure meals are prepared, packaged, and distributed efficiently
while maintaining strong food quality, safety, and operational
standards. This role is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen
production, managing staff, coordinating production schedules,
controlling inventory and food costs, and ensuring compliance with
all food safety and regulatory requirements. The position plays a
key role in maintaining consistent production and supporting the
reliable delivery of meals across multiple service locations. What
you'll be doing: - Oversee daily food production for high-volume
meal preparation and distribution - Manage production schedules to
ensure meals are prepared and delivered on time - Lead, train, and
support kitchen and production staff - Ensure compliance with food
safety and sanitation standards (HACCP and health regulations) -
Manage food, packaging, and supply inventories while minimizing
waste and controlling costs - Support menu production and ensure
recipe and portion consistency - Identify opportunities to improve
production efficiency and workflow What we're looking for:
Must-haves: - Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
standards - Experience with inventory management and cost control -
Proven leadership and team management skills Nice-to-haves: -
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred -
Experience managing high-volume kitchens (commissary, healthcare,
institutional, or catering) preferred Compensation Range $55k/yr.
