Boeing---s Advanced Design and Prototype Solutions (ADaPS) organization in Huntsville, AL is looking for multiple entry level Software Engineers capable of contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification). ADaPS (an organization of over 100 engineers spanning software, systems, and mechanical domains) supports programs across the entire portfolio of Boeing products including Space Launch Systems (SLS), Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Commercial Space Crew Transportation System (CCTS), B-52 Bomber modernization, and advanced missile defense efforts. ADaPS specializes in executing rapid prototyping and development programs utilizing small, responsive Agile teams. Position Responsibilities: Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification). Assist with analysis, test, modification, and enhancement of a complex legacy codebase. Work in small to medium sized Agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs. Responsible for developing technical products, plans, documentation, and briefings in support of program requirements. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. Programming experience in at least one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Ada, C#, Python. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience using common software version control tools such as Git. Experience debugging and troubleshooting technical problems involving computer memory or timing considerations. A positive attitude towards learning, software quality, and teamwork Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
