The Boeing Missile and Weapons Systems Division is currently
seeking Senior Software Engineers for exciting new opportunities on
the Phased Array Tracking to Intercept of Target (PATRIOT) Advanced
Capability-Three (PAC-3) program (PAC-3) program. Boeing
designs, builds and manufactures the PAC-3 seeker in Huntsville,
Alabama. Recently awarded contracts have grown our backlog of
new capabilities to enhance the effectiveness of the PAC-3 missile
against evolving threats. As a member of the PAC-3 software team
you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle,
from idea creation and development, all the way through to
maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. These
positions will place you in a role where you have the opportunity
to make a significant impact on the results of our project.
Translate customer requirements into software requirements and
Guide the implementation and testing of these designs by less
Assist with root cause analysis of integration issues.
Create and customize software tools to facilitate software
Participate in peer reviews of all software products.
Gather, maintain, format, compile and analyze data to support
assessment of complex software anomalies.
Collect, perform initial analysis, review and report software
Optimize software processes for quality and efficiency
Drive continuous improvement via facilitation of
Track and report on progress towards team objectives
Facilitate team level and customer meetings.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
(U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months
is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience developing and
testing embedded flight software.
7+ years of experience working in a cross functional
7+ years of experience working on a large scale complex
development programs using strong analytical and problem solving
7+ years of experience with system architecture, requirements
development, and test & verification.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Radar technology
Experience with real time operating systems
Experience with the Ada programming language
Experience with agile software development
Proficiency with report and metric generation using Jira
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
