Job Goal: A fabricator is responsible for fabricating, positioning,
aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products.In
addition, it is the responsibility and goal of all employees at
Valley Rubber to live and implement the vision and mission of the
company:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications and Requirements: Knowledge of basic welding, Mig
(GMAW) Welding required.Ability to follow directions and get along
well with others.Outstanding punctuality and attendance
required.Ability to read and understand a tape measure, standard
and metric required.Dexterity: Fabricators work with their hands,
whether directly manipulating components.Math: Basic math is needed
due to the technological needs of the fabrication
departmentMechanical/Technical Skills: Fabricators need to be able
to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work with
computers, machines and basic tools.Strength: Some fabricators
duties will require strength to lift up to 100 lbsStamina:
Fabricators are on their feet for long periods of time often doing
repetitious motionsWorking Conditions: While performing the duties
of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking,
bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all
day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and ability to adjust focus. In addition, the
employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles,
moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally
exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job
sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be
loud.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time
position. Hours are Monday - Friday from 5:45 am - 2:15 pm. Must be
available for overtime and work weekends when necessary.
