Job Description:

This is a part time position based at two housing locations. This position will provide support, engagement and recovery activities to clients residing within the supportive housing locations. This position promotes socialization, recovery, self-sufficiency, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of skills learned in other support services. Primary population includes individuals with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities Include:

• Provide guidance and encouragement to clients to actively participate in their own recovery.
• Teach clients self-advocacy skills.
• Provide side-by-side support, coaching and encouragement to help clients socialize and carry out leisure-time activities
• Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities and provide other opportunities to practice social skills.
• Organize and lead individual and group wellness and recovery activities and provide opportunities to practice these skills.
• Collaborate with the internal Heritage team to provide
• Completion of all documentation and tracking in a timely manner
• Provide other duties as assigned, required or specifically negotiated with supervisor. Education and Experience:
  Key characteristics of this position will include the ability to meet people where they are at in their recovery, non-judgmental, and ability to build rapport quickly. Individual applicants must have lived experience and high school diploma or GED equivalent; Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) preferred. Must be able to obtain CRSS within 2 years of hire date.
  Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
