This position is a Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Controller
and is responsible for balancing supply and demand.
Duties includes: Creating and maintaining valid plans for material
and capacity planning; Reacting to exception messages; Validating
and converting planned orders to Production Orders or Purchase
Requisitions; Ensuring converted orders are completed on schedule;
Performing tasks for incorporating engineering change activities;
Manually running and validating MRP. Creating and maintaining valid
plans for material and capacity planning. Balances supply and
demand, validates and converts planned orders, performs initial
hardware impact assessment, assigns, distributes and tracts

ULA Job Description:
Analyzes manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other
material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, component
replenishments, substitute parts/materials, production set-ups,
engineering changes and enterprise supplies. Resolves schedule,
material requirement or business system problems with
cross-functional representatives. Approves part or material
requisitions and initiates production and purchase change orders.
Resolves master schedules and production problems and negotiates
External Additional Requirements
* Bachelors of Science or Arts (BS/BA) in a Supply Chain Management
or related field; or four years of related experience in lieu of
* 2-6 years of work experience in a Supply Chain Management or
* Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts
in order to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved
materials timed to meet production requirements
* Capability to learn and use SAP as it applies to MRP
* Effective team and communication skills (verbal and written) in
order to interact with all levels of personnel
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after an
* Must be available to work 2nd Shift
External Preferred Qualifications
* Working knowledge of MRP software (SAP software is
* Any APICS (The Association for Operations Management)
certification such as Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or
Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
* Familiarity with or working knowledge of Microsoft Project and
* Any work experience in a manufacturing environment

copy, instruct, and negotiate.
Judgment and Decision-Making: Work is regularly assigned by self,
supervisor, and departmental staff. While performing the duties of
this job, the employee is regularly required to exercise prudent
judgment, decision making, and analytical skills to determine
manner and operational steps necessary to properly handle inquiries
and perform daily tasks within professional standards. Decision
making is guided by ULA policies and procedures.
