Industrial Maintenance ElectricianGeneral Description:As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of all aluminum extrusion presses and related process equipment as well as facilities related equipment and appliances. You will also be responsible for safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Install, troubleshoot and maintain all electrical components and systems including electronic sensors, motors, drives, PLC systemsLayout, assemble, install and test electrical fixtures, control equipment and wiringInspect, maintain and repair wiring, motors, switchboards, switches, blown fuses, various indoor/outdoor lighting fixtures and electrical mechanisms at industrial level 110vac - 4160vacInstall, inspect, clean and lubricate AC and DC motorsTroubleshoot industrial control systems, e.g., hydraulics, temperature control systems with natural gas or electrical heat sourceFit and connect conduit using various tools necessary to layout, cut, thread and bendWork with and around live circuits and making hot taps when requiredMaintain power, lights and alarms wiring systems (Facilities Maintenance)Log or use computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performedInterpret electrical schematics, blueprints, sketches, layouts, circuit diagrams or specificationsAbide by safe work standards including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash)Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicableBasic Qualifications:HS Diploma/GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the futureMust be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingenciesAbility to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicableBasic computer skillsMust provide basic tools Preferred Qualifications:3+ years working as a maintenance electrician, I/E technician, multi-craft technician (emphasis on electrical) or controls specialist in an industrial manufacturing environment Previous experience in a manufacturing environment demonstrating basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machineryIndustrial Electrician Journeyman's card or AAS in Electrical TechnologyPrevious experience with DMM's, Meg-Ohm Meters, etc.Experience working with a variety of PLC and AC/DC drive controlsDesire and willingness to learn and perform across craftsBasic computer skills - RS Logix, MS Office and CMMS a plusCandidate Criteria:Safe: a strong commitment to work safely and promote a safe working environmentSelf-motivated: demonstrates appropriate initiative with or without direct supervisionAdaptability: the ability to make changes, and to be successful in changing environmentsTeam player: a person who can be counted on to assist his team/company in being successful
