Founded in 1818, the company is headquartered in White Plains, New York.To provide analytical laboratory support that ensures that all products produced at the Decatur Facility consistently meet or exceed company standard and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Essential Functions:Sample preparation for customers, collaborative studies, and/or wet lab comparison dataPerform analysis of samples throughout the process utilizing various AOCS methodsData entry of analysis including trending and standard deviationsTruck and/or Railcar Certificate of Analysis created, faxed, and filedEquipment diagnostics and calibrationCross-train on equipment troubleshooting and act as a backup for other laboratory functionsCommunicate analysis results and/or issues to management teamPromote safety by driving a zero incident culture ensuring the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors.Be an effective safety leader engaging in Bunge safety discussions and initiatives.Support policy and procedure creation and training.Ensure lab sanitation procedures are being followedReview COA information to assist in determining incoming product compliance to specificationsSupport of food security policiesSupport the development and maintenance of Prerequisite and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) Programs for food and feed productsEnsure that customer inquiries for technical information, application information or product concerns receive responses in a timely fashionBe prepared to work a flexible, 8, 10, or 12 hour schedule that may include off shifts, holidays and weekendsDemonstrate the following core values and guiding behaviors which are expected of all employees at Bunge North America: Integrity, Openness and Trust, Teamwork, Commitment, Entrepreneurship and Farmer/ Customer FocusPerform other duties as assigned and recognize that priorities can and will likely shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the organizationResponsible to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to take action and resolve. Skill/Experience Requirements:Bachelor s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or any applied sciences preferred1 to 3 years analytical laboratory experience preferredPunctuality and accuracy are criticalAbility to learn and apply new skills quickly is requiredDemonstrate ability to work safely and to promote safe work practices in othersAbility to work collaboratively on teams with both internal and external employees and customersProficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and PP), SAP and other technical software applicationsExcellent verbal, written, multi-tasking and listening skillsCandidate must be friendly, collaborative, intelligent and hard workingBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
